According to media reports; 24 hours after Alton Sterling was shot to death by Baton Rogue cops, another black man Philando Castile, died Wednesday night after being shot several times by a police officer in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
Majority of Americans; mostly black Americans and the world at large are calling for honest justice to be meted out to these officers who perpetrated these acts.
Members of the public flocked to social media to air their opinions via #BlackLivesMatter

It's terrible that we have just celebrated Independence Day and the news is filled with such a crime! I can't believe that there are still murders like this being done and it's so heartbreaking.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the news on television, I was saddened because of the injustice being done to other people's lives. I hope that there is an end to all the hatred and that we learn to accept each other regardless of our uniqueness.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a general rule regardless of country that the police can justify firing their weapons at civilians if they fear the loss of life or limb. I wonder what goes through the policeman's head before he shoots.
