Android is a creamy platform widely accepted by tons of people globally as it keeps leading the pack. On Thursday, the worldwide Mobile Phone Vendors research report by Gartner – (a research and advisory firm) released the statistics of mobile operating system dominance and Android operating system strongly leads over Apple’s iOS.
The American research firm, shows a downward percentage of 14.6 in the Q2 2015 to 12.9 percent during the Q2 of 2016. While Android in Q2 2015 moved up from 82.2 percent to 86.2 percent during the Q2 of 2016. Clearly, hundreds of millions of people have migrated from iOS to Android device.
“Apple sales declined in North America (its biggest market) as well as in Western Europe,” Gartner said. “However, it witnessed its worst sales decline in Greater China and mature Asia/Pacific regions, where sales declined 26 percent. Apple had its best performance in Eurasia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Eastern Europe regions in the second quarter of 2016, where iPhone sales grew more than 95 percent year on year.”
However, mobile brands such as Samsung largely benefited from Android’s triumph which is significantly evident in its market share fortune from 21.8 percent in Q2 2015 to 22.3 percent in Q2 2016. In addition, Huawei and Oppo – both Chinese smartphone companies operate on Android equally enjoyed in the fortune as Huawei market share rises to 0.9 percent, while Oppo’s witnesses a 3 percent increased on the market share index.
Meanwhile, Apple is working really hard to brighten its strong brand image, hoping the launch of iPhone 7 expected next month will salvage its position to the pinnacle.

Android has lead the way in the mobile operating system and will continue to lead the way because they have a cross network platform. To me and few other mobile users, Apple has a closed operating platform that can only work on the Apple range.
