I decided to share news on the progress of the UN sustainable development goals. It's a way of taking actions for its implementation to impact positively on all humanity in my own little efforts.
The weekly progress on the SDGs can be shared using the #SDGsSaturday. Here are the activities for last week of the #SDGs in Nigeria and across board.

It is great to see to how social media is working to bring campaign and initiatives like this to the public. I am sure there will be a lot more involvement this way.

ReplyDeleteThank you for informing us about the latest issues of Nigeria which we do not really see in our newspapers. I think the developing countries of the world all struggle with the same problems.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to read such information, simple they may be, yet very moving as they reflect the various stories of individuals. Great to have updates on where Nigeria now in terms of its SDGs. We need to know them so that more people can think and act on how they can contribute in helping humanity.

ReplyDeleteThe power is Twitter in such events is much blowing. We had a devastating flood and it was because of Twitter that the youngsters of the city came together as volunteers and brought it back, in its own feet!!!

ReplyDeleteI agree, use social media to educate the people. But also keep in mind that there are those who don't have access to the internet or social media channels. If both means to educate is done, I would definitely be hopeful to progress!
