Creamy Innovation: Samsung Launches Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge In Lagos

It's official! Samsung has launched the new Galaxy S7 edge and S7 smart phones in Nigeria.

The devices which were formally unveiled at an elaborate launch in Lagos are a blend of premium components with the most advanced Samsung technology.

Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Paul Lee, said "the new smart phones are imbued with intelligent cameras, and have set a new industry standard for design, craftsmanship and performance."

He noted that the new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge highlight the most refined phone experience ever by combining the latest technology that users expect from Samsung's Galaxy series.

Lee reiterated the company's commitment to fulfilling its brand promise of inspiring the world and the future by bringing new and outstanding innovations to the doorsteps of consumers. "Our innovative technology has adequately captured customers' aspirations and desires," he said.

On the devices design, the display features include;

The Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch display screen, while the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch screen. They both come with a Quad HD super AMOLED display, allowing for clearer videos and images with a resolution of  2560 x 1440 (Quad HD).

Android Marshmallow OS

The Galaxy S7 is powered by the latest Android Marshmallow OS (Android 6.0). That means less battery drain from apps you don’t use, and new features like Now on Tap — the genius technology that anticipates your next move.

On Camera

The Galaxy S7 is the first smartphone with dual-pixel technology, so it captures better photos in low-light environments and focuses faster than the blink of an eye. And with Quick Camera, all you need to do is double-tap the home button and start shooting.

On Storage

The devices doubles as a first. If you crave for excess storage size, running out of storage isn't a problem anymore. You can add an additional 200GB with a microSD card. That's fun to the soul!

Water Resistant

The Galaxy S7 has a certified water-resistant rating (IP68 certified). It repels spills, splashes and even dunks up to 30 min of 5 feet of water.

Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa's Information technology and Mobile Division, Emmanouil Revmatas, described the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as devices that draw the line between the smart phones that are currently available in the market and what comes next.
