China’s biggest smartphone maker Huawei, aims to takeover Apple in the smartphone market within the next 3 years. Huawei launched its latest smartphone on 27th Nov, 2015; “THE MATE 8”, which comes with the Android 6.0 marshmallow Operating System pre-installed, (which means customers will be able to access new features of the latest Android operating system).
The Mate 8 comes equipped with:
Display
The Huwaei Mate 8 shines with a 4G LTE and Hybrid Dual SIM support. It also sports a huge 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. The device has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. The Mate 8 is made from an aerospace grade aluminum material, and some unique 2.5D curved diamond cut glass.
Processor
The device houses a 2.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A72 CPU and another 1.8GHz quad-core A-53 processor.
Memory and Storage
The Huawei Mate 8 comes in 3 storage options: 3GB, 4GB and 128GB of RAM.
Camera
The Mate 8 has an improved 8MP selfie camera phase detection autofocus, 16 Megapixel rear-facing camera that features Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.4 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and video recording, VoLTE (voice over LTE).
Battery
The new Mate 8 is powered by a high-capacity 4,000mAh battery.
Colors
The new Mate 8 will be available in 4 colors: Moonlight Silver, Space Grey, Champagne Gold and Mocha Brown.
The smartphone will hit the shelves in China on the 9th of December but international availability would arrive in Q1 2016, Huawei said.
