Samsung, the South Korean-based company is set to launch its Tizen Z2 smartphone, in India on Tuesday.
Samsung has its own native operative system named Tizen which also operates on its wearable devices. Over the weekend, the company sent out invites to stakeholders in the industry possibly hinting at the launch although the invite didn’t specifically refer to the device launch.
Hindustan Times sources hinted the likely features of the new Samsung Tizen Z2 includes;
- 1.5GHz quad-core processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB internal memory storage which can further be expanded
- 3.97-inch display of WVGA resolution
- The battery power capacity of the device goes from 1,500mAh
- 5MP rear-camera and
- 0.3MP VGA front camera.
In addition, the 4G connectivity is also supported with the Tizen Z2 smartphone, with special features in terms of Ultra Data Saving Mode, ability to control the intensity of the device’s flashlight plus an integrated My Money Transfer app, basically for Indian users, according to SamMobile in a video post.
Meanwhile, the mobile market in India had previously witnessed the launch of Samsung’s Tizen Z3 smartphone valued at Rs 8,490. The Z3 uses Tizen OS with a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with further features in areas of 5-inch HD screen, 8GB internal memory, 128GB microSD card support with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
