Social Media Week is practically a weekly conference that cut across innovations, ideas, insights, analysis, trends and inspiration mainly to support the growth of people and businesses in accomplishing more in a hyper-connected world. It features a well-structured central platform for keynotes and panels, multiple rooms for workshops, masterclasses and presentations, dedicated networking and interactive opportunities.
This year’s Social Media Week is slated for February 27 to March 3, 2017, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. It also doubles as the 5th anniversary and it will comprise of businesses, bloggers, vloggers, entrepreneurs, musicians, photographers, activists, citizens from Nigeria and around the world who will meet up to network, share ideas and explore the unique, social, economic and cultural impact of social media in Africa.
The theme for this year Social Media Week is; “The New Language of Technology: The Future of Communication in Africa.” All the sessions promise to explore and unravel how technology is creating a “new language” and what that means for the future of communication in Africa.
