The operating system has definitely innovated over the years and Microsoft Inc is simply the pioneer of a unified operating system – integrating both Windows 10 and Windows Mobile for optimal performance.
Nonetheless, another giant tech company; Google which developed the Chrome OS and Android operating system respectively is gradually springing forth with a new Google-made operating system called “Fuschia”. According to Neowin, reports it could be Google’s unified OS.
Over the years, Google has been rumored to be planning integrating Chrome OS and Android. Still, it’s unclear Chrome OS and Android apps could blend together, but it’s worthy to note that there’s strong possibility the merge will work out. A look at the Goggle Source page for Fuschia said, “Pink + Purple = Fuschia (a new Operating System)”.
With this development, Google may be revealing a new project on OS, may be referring Pink or Purple to Android while Chrome OS takes the other – who knows? I guess we just have to keep our fingers crossed.
In addition, Fuschia has been noted to come with two different kernels features, depending on the type of device it will be running on. The names of the kernel include; LK and Magneta with their citations reading:
“LK is a Kernel designed for small systems typically used in embedded applications. On the other hand, Magenta targets modern phones and modern personal computers with fast processors, non-trivial amounts of ram with arbitrary peripherals doing an open-ended computation.” It’s hoped that this finally reveals and confirm the integration of Android and Chrome OS.
Meanwhile, with Google stepping up its plans to launch Android 7.0 pretty soon, Fuschia may likely be suspended for now.
