WhatsApp has come up with the latest update on its messaging app features.
The new feature updates include Voice messages and Call Back. Users can now leave a voice message when calls are rejected or not answered by the person being called.
The new feature is already effectively on Android and iOS. To get the app update? Android users must update to version 2.16.229, while iOS users to 2.16.8.
When a user makes a WhatsApp call and the recipient doesn’t answer the call, there’s an opportunity to leave a voice message. You will simply find three options which include – Cancel, Call Back, and Voice Message.
To send the voice message, on the bottom right corner of the call screen, you will see a microphone icon – press and hold it down, and talk to record your voice message. Once you are done speaking, release your finger from the icon and the message will be sent. You can also cancel the recorded message by tapping on cancel, in case you don’t want to send the message anymore. However, users are unable to listen to the recorded message before sending it.
Voice message has been a part feature with WhatsApp before now, and those who are familiar with the messaging app can testify and find it similar to use. Meanwhile, this new feature aims to make sending voice messages more convenient and fun calling someone.
In addition, WhatsApp also projects a future goal towards adding a new font to its iOS and Andriod app referred to as FixedSys. This aims to innovate font features for chatting purpose. Plus progress on quote message feature which will provide users to quote the specific message, influencers, authors, and also reply them cannot be denied.
